Wills and Estates

Your peace of mind is a key goal when planning your estate. We draft simple or complex Wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills and Trusts. We also probate estates and provide general estate planning advice. It is our utmost importance to us that your property, care of minors and other provisions are properly looked after according to your wishes. We make recommendations to you in order to make your intent understood with a minimum of complexity.

Power of Attorney
All adult persons should have both property and personal care Powers of Attorney.
Having the documents ensures who will take care of your financial and health concerns should you be unable to do so yourself. These documents are similar to insurance in that if you do not have the documents, the consequences can be drastic.


Living Wills
A document that sets out guidelines for dealing with life-sustaining medical procedures in the eventuality of the signatory's sudden debilitation. Living wills would, for example, inform medical staff not to provide extraordinary life-preserving procedures on their bodies if they are incapable of expressing themselves and suffering from an incurable and terminal condition.

Estate Planning
Everyone should work on their estate planning. Initially it starts off with talking to your lawyer, your accountant and your financial advisor. Most individuals do not talk to a certified estate planner but should do so if the opportunity is available.Our office assists in the estate planning process working with our clients, accountants, financial advisors, and sometimes estate planners. We assist our clients in completing the estate planning process by completing the necessary documents.

Estate Administration
Our office completes all estate administration work including providing summary advice, documenting information pertinent to the estate, advising as to the necessity, and completing Applications necessary in order to administer the estate.
We assist with communications with Canada Pension Plan with regard to benefits and cancellation of benefits. We assist with transfer and liquidation of assets of the estate, requirements for filing income tax returns, preparation of releases, and all other matters necessary to wind down an estate.
